Investing in real estate is one of the core businesses of the MEI Group. The funds so far invested in real estate in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic exceed € 250,000,000. The Group purposefully buys and administers office buildings of category B, located in regional capitals or in other major regional centres of the two countries. The total floor area of buildings exceeds 500,00 m2.
MEI invests in real estate through special purpose vehicles, each comprising a closed number of investors, or via the real estate fund MEI Real Estate N.V.. The following entities are the main local real estate holding companies: MEI Czech Offices s.r.o.; MERE Slovakia, s.r.o.; MERE Bohemia s.r.o.; and Deltatel, s.r.o.
In the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic the real estate portfolio is administered by the company MEI Property Services, s.r.o.; by actively managing buildings and financing projects through co-operating banks MEI Property Services ensures above-average performance of the administered assets.
